WELCOME TO EAST ANGLIA POTATO DAY!

East Anglia Potato Day is an annual event that has been running since 1994.  It is organised and run entirely by volunteers from three organic gardening groups: Ipswich Organic Gardening Group, Norfolk Organic Group and Suffolk Organic Gardeners.

We make available up to 100 varieties of seed potatoes which are sold as individual tubers so that you can buy as many or as few as you

require.

We also aim to offer as many organic varieties as possible, usually about 25%. 

Every year we are on tenterhooks about the weather, and not just in East Anglia but in Scotland too!  The vast majority of our supplies are delivered by lorry from the far north, so we often have nervous moments.  However so far they've always made it, and in fact we've had some spookily good weather for the middle of February.  (Will probably regret saying that.)

So, we cannot guarantee which varieties will turn up on the day.  We place our order in good time, but sometimes a harvest will fail due to pests and disease, or quantities are low and varieties we've ordered do not turn up.  We do always have an excellent range though, so its a good idea to have some alternatives in mind on your shopping list. If your preferred variety isnt there please see it as an opportunity to try something new -  you may find a new favourite.
